Principal's Message

Welcome from Dr. Hector Maestre, our Principal!

Dr. Maestre

This is the week where teachers will be preparing student progress reports for the 4th quarter. If any of our Braves have missing assignments or projects outstanding, please turn those in right away. Our families will be able to find their student's progress report as usual online via Skyward Family Access later during the week of April 29. Once posted, please review your child's grades with them as soon as possible.

As we normally do here each week, you will find a fresh round of Boone student and staff success stories that I think you will enjoy. In addition to those, I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone as we near year-end about a topic that receives the highest priority each school day by our leadership team and is something that also reflects upon our school pride—Campus Safety.

As we move into the final weeks of 2023-2024, please continue to do what you have done since last August when it comes to campus safety. That is, if you should ever see or hear something that in your opinion appears suspicious or unusual, say something right away to any teacher, coach, counselor, administrator or SRO. It easy to forget the basics when it comes to safety, not just here at school, but in many situations such as when driving, in the surf at the beach, even riding a bike, so a well timed reminder from time to time makes good sense. Additionally, if you still do not have the FortifyFl suspicious activity app on your phone, consider downloading it today.

Have a great week and if you still have not picked up your tickets for our Spring Orchestra Concert on May 9th, please do so today. This is a special event for the whole family not to be missed!
